LG Prada 2
The basics
The follow up to the original Prada mobile features a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a 5-megapixel camera. There's also a 3-inch touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, 3G, HSDPA, full HTML browser and FM radio.
The good
These mobile gizmos have a fantastically long shelf life - do you realise we’ve gone through four handbags since we bought my first Prada phone a year ago? Thank goodness this one is almost exactly identical. We couldn’t be doing with learning how those silly satnavs work, anyway, that’s what black cabs are for. I have noticed that it’s much faster at connecting to the Harvey Nics website, although I imagine that’s because I’ve moved closer to Knightsbridge. And to think it costs less than a crate of Bolly!
The bad
Keyboards? Yuck. Aren’t those what dreary office workers use to communicate with each other? All I know is that they’re hell on the fingernails, darling. And I can’t help noticing the Prada has well, ballooned a little around the waist. Times are hard, sweetie, isn’t it about time you start economising on the pies?
The bottom line
Too under-powered for geeks and too chunky for genuine fashionistas, this competent touchphone is destined to sink to the mass market quicker than a Christian Dior anchor in a vat of Chanel.
