Managed to pick one of these up in the States for $278. Absolutely great deal for a budget netbook that has all the power and functionality I need for when I'm travelling. For the saving in price I have now invested in an additional 6 cell battery for back-up.

I bought this little machine almost a year ago now, and i've used it every day, it's really a fantastic little notebook. I upgraded it to 1.5gb ram, it has the 8gb standard HD but with a 8gb SD card it's now 16gb which is more than enough. I liked it so much that I bought my daughter a one off ebay and she loves it too. It's mainly used for going on the net, but the other packages are easy to use, word, & exel type software. Once you get used to not using a windows type interface, it's very easy to use. Well worth investing in one.

I have one of these machines and have been very impressed with it. I now use this much more than my Packard Bell laptop of about the same age. The Acer is quick, easy to use and very portable, making it ideal if you need to work on the move. I would recommend buying a small mouse to use with it as the one under the keyboard is quite difficult to use and you often find that you mistakenly reduce and increase the zoom when web browsing and editing documents. I'm still not sure whhy that is but the mouse overcomes the problem. All round an excellent machine offering fantastic value for money. Go treat yourself to one!

I hate this product, I have had this computer for a year now, and I have had nothing but problem with it, I got it for the size. It’s perfect for the size if you are out and about all the time, lightweight and looks very nice. The problems I have had with this are getting a bit annoying. I have gone thought 3 power chargers for the computer and nothing has been done about it. I have taken it back to comet, and they had changed it for a new one the first time. 3 – 4 months later happened again, laptop would not hold charge and when the power plug was unplugged the notebook would just go off, no life in it, and also I would be lucky if I even got it to come on in the first place. Me then thinking that it was the power pack, so I went to my local maplin and get a power pack rated at the same power rating and amps etc… And still nothing, so I now got a new PC, desktop one (zoostorm) and I love it, just a basic computer but far better than the notebook. What can be done now? I just left the notebook in the draw cant deal with comet.

I have had my acer aspire one for about 8 months now and managed to get a great bargain with it, it was brand new and i picked it up for £185.00!!! I love this notebook so much its amazing, i only had one problem with it which i thought the notebook had broken down, but it just turned out to be the operating system had failed, i sent it back to acer, and the service was impeccable, i had it back within 4 days, they paid to have it picked up and dropped off at my door and kept me updated about the progress of my repair by email. the capability of this system is amazing, i have the 160gb hdd and 512mb ram but to say the ram is quite small compared to other laptops, it is fast reliable, and impressive. great buy, i suggest if you want any type of notebook pick this one and buy it now! you wont regret it.

I bought my wife one of these for her birthday at the begining of December and have to say I am very impressed. Great bit of kit - the downside - she lives on it.

Being a teenager the most important things are coursework, web chat and casual browsing. This allows me to do all this and more. The speedy processer and internet connection is ideal. This is just the most amazing and attarctive notebook you could want.
