Vuzix glasses puts TVs in the shade!

Vuzix glasses puts TVs in the shade! Want whopping 3D visuals at a low cost? Put on these shades...

Forget James Cameron’s 3D extravaganza featuring Avatars bluer than a baboon’s posterior. The best way to currently completely immerse yourself in video is with Vuzix’s Wrap sunglass-style video goggles. And now, the Wrap 230, Wrap 280 Widescreen and Wrap 920 are coming to the UK!

Can’t afford a 67-inch telly? Stick a pair of the Vuzix Wrap video goggles and you’ll be able to experience virtual screen sizes of 46 to 67 inches. Now that’s big! What’s more you can connect them to camcorders, DVD players, mobiles, games console, iPods and PCs, so you can get big-sized movies wherever you are.

Being touted by Vuzix as the “most advanced wearable display technology today” the Wrap 230, 280 and 920 will cost from £130 up to £250 – a small price to pay for massive 3D (albeit virtual) visuals. Plus, it’s pretty much the only time people can’t have a go at you for wearing “sunglasses” indoors.

These glasses would fit perfectly into a system for showing films which I have written an essay about, at http://www.virtualspace.org.uk. I am continuing the essay in a blog at http://wwwvirtualspaceblog.blogspot.com/2009/11/virtual-space-future-of-movies-and.html

I've just bourght the Wrap 230, They are good but I feel thay don't do what they say they do. Its said its the same as watching a 47" TV from 10 feet away, more like 30". Just wish I'd asked the Gadget Show to put video glass to the test. Its not too late to save other gadget fans! I would have gone for the Wrap 920 if i'd known. But do they do what they say? 60" or is it less? Please Mr John, do a video gasses test on all makes and models, please. Chris the gadget fan.
