Is Acer's Ferrari notebook the One?

Fwd Tech  Monday 14 September 2009

Is Acer's Ferrari notebook the One? Acer + Ferrari = fastest laptop ever? No, but a pretty decent one...

Like the idea of owning your own Ferrari, but don’t like the £100k priice tag? Well this One costs around just £400! How so/ Well, it’s Acer’s latest Ferrari notebook – the One!

Sporting the traditional Ferrari red, the Acer Ferrari One is revving up to take on other mini laptops with a glossy hi-res 11-inch screen. Providing the grunt is a dual-core AMD Athlon X2 L310 1.2GHz CPU and 2GB of memory.

There’s plenty of boot space too (and by boot we mean storage), with a 250GB hard drive. Extras include a multi-format memory card reader and Wi-Fi, with Bluetooth and 3G as optional extras. It also has a five-hour battery life and chiclet-style keyboard keys.

So when does the Acer Ferrari One line up on the starting grid? Expect it to hit shops on October 22. And with that £400 price tag, this is possibly the most affordable Ferrari ever!
