Dell outs its first multitouch monitor
Dell gets touchy with the SX2210T.
With Windows 7 out very soon and all geared up for multitouch support, Dell has let slip some details on its first standalone touchscreen monitor. The SX2210T is a 21.5-inch widescreen display with a 1920×1080 resolution, and when hooked up to a Windows 7 PC it’ll support multitouch panning and zooming functionality, alongside a raft of regular touchscreen functions.
Spec-wise you get a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 2ms grey-to-grey response time, built-in 2-megapixel webcam and microphone, plus HDMI and DVI inputs. There’s a USB connection for the touch capabilities too.
At the time of writing Dell has yet to add the SX2210T to its UK store. It’s popped up in the US online store for $469 (£285), so we’d expect a £300-plus price tag when it does arrive in Blighty.

The dell touch monitor has already came out at a price of £319.20 at dell.com. what i want to know is, is it an all in one touch screen computer?

@Anas: This is just a monitor, not an all-in-one PC. Plug it into a desktop (or possibly a laptop) via USB (for touch interface) and either DVI or VGA-D-Sub (to run display) and you're good to go. If you want an all-in-one you need to get something else. I personally think its an advantage not to have the computer in with the screen as one big point-of-failure. Hope that helps. P
