Acer readies Google Chrome netbook
Google Chrome – OS on the way
Acer is apparently gearing up to present a Google Chrome OS netbook ready the Computex trade show in Taiwan next month. The computing giant has already confirmed that it’s working on a device packing Google’s all-new OS, but this latest announcement would mean the company would be the first to show off a fully fledged Chrome OS device.
And what’s more, Acer is said to be priming more than one Google-packing device for the show. There’s no indication on just what devices Acer will unveil, but given the company’s track record, we’re betting on a netbook, but rumours of an iPad-baiting Google tablet have also been rife.
Google has previously said that Chrome OS will roll out in the second half of this year – the Computex Show runs from 1-5 June. Keep it tuned for more news as it happens…
