Episode 15 - Power Tool Racer
This week on The Gadget Show Jason and Ortis join forces to build a power tool racer. Following The Gadget Show’s thorough trouncing in 2008’s Silverline Power Tool Drag Race Event, they decide to enter again! In the first part, they assess the competition. Deciding that chainsaw-powered vehicles are the way to go, in part 2 Jason and Ortis, with the help of engineers Stewart Pilley and Matthew Ward and three chain saw engines, set about constructing a chainsaw powered go kart that will hopefully mean glory is within their grasp. Finally, the race day arrives and Ortis and Jason head for Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset to see just what their go kart is made of. Will Jason, Ortis and their chainsaw powered go kart blow the competition out of the water or will they be humiliated and defeated by the end of the day?
With thanks to all these guys who made it happen:

What about Jon's piece on Customer Service? I want to know where to find those cheaper numbers to contact phone companies but I can't remember what the website URL was!!

when you advertise a website... it might be useful to check that their servers can handle the increased level of attention they will receive as a result.... had terrible experience trying to get anything out of Animoto...

The websites are http://www.saynoto0870.com/ for geographical numbers for 08 numbers http://gethuman.com/ for phone system shortcuts to get a real human And I think this is the one for the CEO email addresses http://www.connectotel.com/marcus/ceoemail.html I would just like to add to what John said on the programme emailing the CEO can work wonders. I was having real problems with Sky obtaining a MAC so in desperation I emailed James Murdoch, although I guess he never saw the email personally someone was on the case and was resolved in a couple of days

Like others who have put posts on your site about some websites featured in programme 15 I would also like to know the one for landline numbers instead of 8070, the one for CEO's direct numbers and the one for the one for shortcutting automated phone systems. Please put them on the site.

I have had past experience emailing a CEO which worked wonders, I was unhappy with a coffee I had purchased from one of those machines at the Motorway Services, so I went online with the said company and emailed Customer Services and copied the CEO in, he was glad of the feedback and they sent me some vouchers.

I was disappointed to see Ortis testing the underwater camera with captive dolphins. The Atlantis hotel shipped their dolphins halfway around the world from the Solomon Islands, with no regard with the stress caused to them, just so that they could charge tourists upwards of £75 a time to swim with them. Swimming with dolphins is, unfortunately, gaining in popularity, and these sort of facilities are popping up around the world. Most of them are in countries which have no legislation to cover animal welfare, and there have been some appalling stories of abuse. Dolphins are used to roaming thousands of miles through the Oceans each year. Locking them up in facilities such as the one in Dubai is, in my view, a throwback to the times when we used to keep zoo animals in tiny cages, to pace back and forth and eventually go mad. Please, whenever you're featuring animals in a program, do your research, and make your viewers aware of any issues such as these. I know several Scuba divers who have vowed never to watch the Gadget Show again as a result of this week's show.

Please, please, please can we have the list of web addresses that Jon Bentley featured last night. Surely enough people have asked for them on this comments board for somebody to do something about it!

Yes again links mentioned in the episode are not available online. It really is a shame that such a simple and important aspect of the follow up to the show is not available all in one place. Why not have a links page for each Episode
